Counseling for Emotional & Spiritual Health

Imagine a true sense of wellness, confidence and strength in your abilities and talents; but how does one accomplish this?  Counseling is the most hopeful choice for many clients I've had the honor to treat throughout the years.  As your guide, I customize your treatment with progressive therapeutic techniques and strategies to ensure your success, regardless of the degree of hurt, loneliness, loss, or fear you may be experiencing.

Courage is often required to make hope "real".  And while this courage isn't easy to come by, I remain in awe of the human mind and what it has the capacity to achieve when we simply believe it's possible: that we can "make hope real".

As one who has walked her own journey, I value your choice as an individual to be whatever you choose to be and believe that anything is possible!  I know there are times when the answer is simply not within us.  We've talked with friends and those who know us most intimately and the confusion and pain remains.  Often this leads us to professional therapy, testing our courage, and helping us learn more about ourselves as a result.  With over 20 years of experience providing therapy to a diverse group of individuals, I welcome the opportunity to help you gain that courage and make your hopes, real!

Perhaps you're searching for a sense of peace; a deeper and more meaningful purpose in life.  The benefits of spirituality are numerous, no matter the depth or breadth of challenges you face on a daily basis.

Whether your struggles are personal within yourself or are a result of relationship issues, I can provide guidance, support, and a level of comfort to sustain you through these challenges.

I have a special interest in working with LGBT individuals who have been wounded by the church or spiritual experiences.  I value you deeply and your ability to be what you want to be, as well as the struggles you may experience in getting there. As a therapist with a Masters in Divinity, the emphasis in my course work was on pastoral care and finding ways to assist the Church in meeting individuals where they are in their own personal spiritual journey.

I have experience in a number of different religious practices including Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, Tao, atheist and agnostic.  In addition, after seminary I served in a number of churches including parish, youth, and social justice ministries and have helped those with issues such as dual-faith, lost faith, and conversions. It's my honor to accompany you in your spiritual journey.

I also worked at the Pastoral Counseling Center.
